Had this happen to me a couple of times early on, when you head back to main menu to exit the game or turn off your console, you really need to give it a significant amount of time before saving - which does seem to take longer than it should but hey ho.

As for multiplayer, it seems much better now a few players have switched to their normal franchise ;) and those left seem to know what theyre doing.

Just started playing this as I fancied a change from MW3.

And boy it's hard! Ive played a few games now and rage quit most of them  the guns are woeful and the delay between shooting someone dead and registering with the blue text is an age.

Sniper rifles are poo, how is it people one shot kill me and it takes about 3 shots for me to drop someone!!!

I love the sound though it's awesome especially if the bullets are hitting the wall or dirt your hiding behind.

When I start to level up a bit and get some decent guns then I might feel a bit different but for now I'm not enjoying it much which is a shame because I was a big BF2 fan boy.

Felt the same way when I started playing it mate, level up, use the realistic perks and enjoy!

Laser sight and holographic sight will help matters! :thumleft:

Well I've give up for now! xxxxxx game!!!!

Tried to play it tonight and got royally pi$$ed off especially with sniping!!! How is it u take 3 or 4 shots to kill someone and they return fire and 1 bullet wiped me out!!!!!!!

One good point though is I've put MW3 on and I'm killing everyone!!! Just had a 27 - 2 :thumleft:

I'll try again when I've clamed down a bit

It takes some time to master but when you do its a much better game then MW3. Like you said aswell it makes MW3 look easy as BF3 requires real aiming where as MW3 you can just spray someone with bullets.

You need a good team on BF3 to do really well as you'll have no chance against people working together.

Going to get a second hand copy of BFBC2 and go back to that.

BF3 has changed the game for the worse as they have tried to mimic COD to make the game accessible for the COD hardcore and ultimately increase market share. Gameplay has really suffered.

The game is simply not as fun as BFBC2.

Can't even play Battlefield 3, not even single player (well, I guess I could switch wifi off first to play that).
There's an update that it refuses to download (some obscure error message), so the game won't even boot

Could you download the update on your PC and then update from a USB?

I'm fairly sure that the only updates you can do via usb on the PS3 are the system updates
