[Mk2 ] Advice needed on my Sony Head Unit.

Hi guys,

The Toyota 6 Disc CD Changer and Cassette/Radio are now sitting in my 2. I have got a Sony MD player M690 which has not been fitted. I wonder the Sony Head Unit would work with the Toyota Disc Changer or not... I am thinking of replacing the Cassette and Radio unit by my Sony MD player and leave the CD Disc Changer control unit there. (The Disc Magazine is sitting behind the passenger seat) Do you think I could connect them together? Many thanks!

try running a search on the net, cant remember the site address but there a couple of company's that sell universal fitment boxes to plug oem equipment wiring into and relevant adapter cable out to fit the changer to virtually any head unit, quite reasonably priced aswell if i remember right, hope this helps

Cheers mate! =D> So do you mean if I could find that relevant adapter cable, then I could control the OEM disc changer by using my Sony Head Unit? Coz I found that the Sony has got the buttons and functions prepared to control any disc changer connected.
What sort of topic should I search on the net?
