[Mk2] [Generic] Pics of spoilerless rev3 rears pls....

Post by HighwayStar »

I'm going to be putting rev 3 lights on my spoilerless white rev 1. I'm thinking of a black centre panel with JDM lights. Anyone got any pics of similar they can post up to help me decide?

Many thanks

That looks amazing, Ryan. I'm starting to seriously consider chopping in the mk3 for a mk2 again...

personal opinion is that if you go spoilerless then yuo need chunkier rear bumper spats as in the red cars, or the back end looks a little thin/slight

I agree Jason, if you do take off the spoiler (I already have) then you do need to chunk up the rear a bit in some other way... Check my garage and you'll see I have my own custom spats... made up from 2 standard sets. :thumleft:

Any pics out there of a white spoilerless 2 with rev3 lights and a black centre panel (I know it's a bit of an ask)?

Why did you guys have to point out that the rear looks skinny/thin now thats all i can see when i look at my car!

Might have to put spoiler back on, or get new rear bumper..

cheers

Nick.. get another pair of spats for a tenner here and make up a set made from them and your own... if your handy with plastic welding, filler and paint it should be a doddle (my bodyshop said they took about 3 hrs...).
Look a bit like the PP from the side, nicely deep from the rear and a lovely oem look... see my garage for the proof.

shame mines a rev1, as i have to fill the bloody holes in the rear qtrs, i might have a whizz at painting the areas myself as i plan in the long term (next year maybe) to reshell the car into a tin top, so could do without 100's spent on bodyshop costs

yeah might do that , i did my side vents myself with some fibreglass and prepped it for spraying. Don't mind getting stuck into something like this. But my sprayer/body shop has closed down, hard to find a descent one.
