only to come home and for it not to start... immediately thought it was an immobiliser fault... but upon further investigation, would seem the imobiliser adn alarm is functioning properly. As with the immob armed nothing happens at all when key is turned to start position, however with the immob disarmed, upon turning the key to start position i am met with a humm type noise from behind, presumably the starter motor failing? I've tried charging the battery and jump starting just in case, however all seems to point to starter motor or relay... but i have no clue and its raining now

any help would be greatly appreciated
but that leaves me in an even worse situation, cause i haven't the foggiest idea of where to start, i've located the alarm/immobiliser unit etc.
