Front Wheel Bearings
Is it possible to buy just wheel bearings for the front or do you have to buy the whole wheel bearing hub unit?

You can't change the bearing itself, its a complete unit 
- bearing, hub, abs sensor etc.
Part number 43550-17010- about £200.

i'm also getting a slight shuddering on braking. I was wondering if that could be something to do with a faulty abs sensor.

No it won't be anything to do with your ABS sensor.
Check disc runout for warping.
