1999 Mk3 Engine

I have a 1999 Mk3 with a blown engine and looking for an engine replacement

No upgrades or engines conversions on this one.

Does anyone know if the Avensis 1.8 vvti 1zz-fe engine will fit?

If you have a look at MR2ROC.ORG there is guy on there (Rowland) who is selling an engine and gearbox as he is race preparing his Mk3

It will, but will need a slight alteration to one of the engine mounts IIRC.

Got an 03 plate 45k miles engine with warranty from DA Autoparts in Dumfries for 500 + Vat

The Avensis engine only has 127bhp though as some of the internals are slightly different.
