Newbie from celica-club.co.uk

Post by CelicaBabe »

Hello :) :)

Just joined up and you can probably tell from my username that I dont own an MR2 but I do own a Toyota

I own a Gen6 Celica SS-II (ST202 3SGE)

Got directed here from Martin aka Nakamura....Top dude he is :thumleft:

The reason I am here is because I am about to get made redundent and with my reduno money my next mod to the 202 is hopefully dropping a 3SGTE engine in and doing the full engine conversion so Im sure I am going to need lots of advice and help as I will probably be buying a scrap Rev3 MR2 for the engine and various parts.

I will be getting a garage to do the converstion though but im sure I will still need help along the way.

Will be keeping the 202 look not changing it to look like a GT4 so It will be kind of street sleeper but I will be going down the FMIC route as it will look evil

Heres some pics of the 202 and I hope to speak to some of you soon

Thanks Dawn :D

is this the one with the beams engine?
why would you want to put a 3sgte in to a front wheel drive car? :-k

No not the beams, the SS-III came with the beams and some of the later facelift SS-II's came with it but its mainly the SS-III's.

Mine is just the 3SGE 2L ST202

Well I dont want to buy a GT4 or an MR2 because thats what everyone does and I wanted to be a little more unique and do something thats a little more rare.

It will be faster than a stock GT4 and running with a decent LSD it can easily be pushing the stock 255BHP.

Also I love the way my car is looking and dont want a GT4 as I want my car but I do want more power now so it made sense to do the conversion.

It has been done many times but at the same time is still quite a rare thing to see.

I just wanted to be different and not follow the sheep and buy a GT4!!

Moddings all about been unique to me so I thought why not lol

Thanks for the welcomes so far :)

no i think overall using the GT4 is best, but as has said upgrade to the E153 turbo box cos you will wnt more power when the power you have isnt enough lol

Looks pretty good! Like the spoilerless look, rims look really good on the black car.
