1990 MR2 Viper Green respray

Post by dervbas »

So, after many years of coping with tatty paintwork, I finally got round to having it done.

Paint was chosen after seeing the Porsche 997 GT3 RS around Mellor, and thought I could use the same colour colour-scheme for my tubby.

Thanks to a mate for a terrific spray job for the money and short time to do it.

In addition to the respray, I got my Border kit completed with a new front bumper - a nightmare to fit (costing £350 to have cut/fit by Prestige Motors of Glossop).

Next is to get the wheels sprayed gloss black, with maybe a body-coloured lip. Black bonnet or not?

i really like this, the black at the bottom works really well, you had to ruin it by adding a picture of a porche  [-X

Leave the bonnet but get it lower. IMHO you should lose the scoop also but as you say at the outset each to their own. Liking the green and black overall but keep it subtle...the detailing I mean. Congratulations on the boldness.

Love that colour mate :thumleft:
Definately need to do the wheels black, with green lips, would finish it off perfik.
Maybe the black on the skirts is a bit too GT3 lookalike, especialy with the writing, but i think it still looks awesome.
