Rocker Cover Colour variations

Post by SuperRedMR2 »

I have been buying alot of rocker covers on ebay recently...

I need to do myself a set, as I dont want my polished ones anymore...

I have done a really good set of Yellow, Black and Red in the past, which to be honest I creamed myself over lol.

But I was wondering could some of you post your pics of your rocker covers you have done in the past...I have fancied dark blue and white lettering but would like to see what everyone else has done with theirs...

Love the blue Supercharger covers! =P~

I did something a bit different with mine. Probably not something you'd want to do, but I thought I'd show you anyway. :)

I've only finished one so far but I'd like to know what you think. :thumleft:

The pic is a bit rubbish tbh, it doesn't really do it justice!

Just redone mine while replacing a leaky camshaft oil seal - I was bored of silver with black/red lettering anyway

which is why I went for 1 colour, because I didnt have patience.

Get a touch up nib pen from halfords etc, then just squeeze the paint into each letter

as above. OR you could rub vaseline on the lettering carefully (dont want to get it on the rocker cover) and spray cover......

when your done, wipe the vaseline off the lettering and they will be the same colour previous to painting :thumleft:

Alot of honda dudes do it.

The lettering is a bit of a problem. I tried, but soon realised it wasn't going to work, which is why I painted in and around them. It looks pretty good I think :thumleft:

The problem is gonna be keeping them looking good.

Wow thanks! Glad you like them.

It was a lot of hard work, but I'm very happy with the results, and knowing that it's quite unique! :D
