Pay to have them done unless you ve got compressors guns and 2k laquer

Can be done at home if you have the time and inclination

Basically

Strip with Nitromoors
Repair minor dings and scratches with Chemical Metal
Medium wet n dry
Rattle can primer - 2 coats
Fine wet n dry
Rattle can silver - as many coats as you can be ar$ed to do
Fine wet n dry
Brush paint 'telephone' slots with Hunbrols gun metal grey enamel (if Mk1b)
Lacquer - at least 2 coats
Fine wet n dry
Polish
Wax

Have to say I agree with previous comment. Pay to get them done. Had mine powder coated for about £50 a wheel? I am not made of money but I doubt I could hope to come close to the finish levels and not worth the hassle for that price (IMHO =; )

Some people who have more time though (and more skill) have done really good job of polishing their wheels if thats your sort of thing :sick:

I got mine fully refurbed for ~£220 including fitting and balancing of new tyres. That was for all 5 wheels too. I was very happy with the result and unless you really do have time to spare I think for the results it's worth it. You'd probably end up spending the best part of £100 on kit to do it yourself, and then removal/refitting of tyres etc.
