When replacing a rear window, can you remove the rear window whilst keeping it in its out casing? (like you can the rear side window)

Or do you have to remove the sealent regardless?


Asking as I need to replace my smashed window and need to know if i can simply swap for another non-smashed!!!!

You need to remove the cover that goes over the outside of it, it has 2 screws either side under the inspection panels and 8mm/10mm bolts though the inside of the car. You will need to remove the plastic trims from inside the car to access them. Then carefully cut all the silicon. Dont try to pull the glass because it will just break. It took me 1hour 30 to cut the silicon when i had to replace mine.
