Just been looking at some alloys for my white rev3 t-bar. When it comes to choosing alloys im quite fussy on what looks right on what colour car. Just wondering if anyone has any piccys of a white mr2 with aftermarket alloys fitted.
I'm thinking of either white alloys or black or gunmetal colour. Just very hard to decide when they're not on the car!
I tried googling and looking at the garage on the forum but couldn't find a lot or any decent pictures.
Alternatively if anyone is good at photoshop and could photoshop a couple of my choices onto my car/a white mr2 that would be mucho appreciated
thanks

Chrome, heres some of mine
But you might have to think of the size as well depending on if you have a bodykit fitted or not... If no bodykit I would go with 16" or 17". Mine are 18" which I think are too big for a standard looking 2, if lowered with bodykit then its fine, thats what I think anyway

Thanks for the pictures, very nice Steve-O 2007.
Yeah i was looking at a set of 16" wheels. My car doesn't have a body kit fitted and is fairly standard looking.
I was thinking of something a little different like these (picture courtesy of POTN)
I think 16s will be enough to fill out the arch nicely and wont compromise handling.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What alloys?
when it comes to wheels, Volk TE37's are the best for the mk2, also the lightest
heres my chance for pic whoring!

To be honest the volks are slightly out of my budget however they do look nice
You say lightweight chris gts but does it really make much of a difference?

I too would go for the Volk TE37's if I had enough money!
I only just knew they existed a few weeks ago and was blown away by the price. I wouldn't care about the weight too much, they are just totally stunning alloys for an MR2!

Forgot to say. Other than the comment I just made which doesn't help much...
How about looking at some Rota's. They're JDM and some are pretty nice.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What alloys?
And they do a replica of the te37's too. I believe they are called "Rota Grid."
Just watch those offsets though, if your running coilovers
PS: I've got TE37's for the track, i would say they probably do make a difference compared to say "show & shine" 17's / 18's but on the road i can't really see it making much difference driving around day to day tbh.
Just get a set of wheels that A: fits correctly ie try your best to get some staggered ones ........ and B: that YOU like the look of (who cares what other people think )
Keep your eyes peeled in the for sale section mate - get a good set and get them refurbed well
Just my thoughts.....
Good luck mate
Andy

Rotas arent jdm, they are knockoff jdm and made in the phillipines. I mean they look alright if you've never seen the wheels they cribbed the designs of originally but when you compare them to the real deal they look gash.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What alloys?
Yeah i did come across the rotas. Been looking at so many now its hard to choose which set to buy! lol
I need to find a good wheel shop near mine (CAMBS) area and maybe match some up next to the car.
Thanks for your input guys, i shall keep an eyeout in the for sale section as i don't mind them being second hand as long as they're good condition.

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What alloys?
I had a set of Lenso Reizen's (spelt that wrong) on my old FTO. They were a polished rim with a gunmetal six-spoke. Always thought they'd look uber-cool on a white MR2.
Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] What alloys?
Heres mine fitted before and after bodykit, they are ruff racing r395 got them for approx £600 with tyres off ebay. Seller was dpmotor1 (dp-motorsport) They are 17x7x5 all round with 235/40 rear and 215/40 front.
