Man some nice times guys, I was in the red J plate rev2 mild mods t bar, best time of day 4.2 for me, still happy though, hammered my mate in his black supra, he was getting wheelspin and a million other excuses.

Was nice to see lots of the MR2 boys there.

Must admit traction was a real problem off the line. Anyone got any advice on best way to launch, my first go I kinda just rolled to get myself going then booted it. After that I tried 3k and clutch dump, time was the same.

Now i'm thinking "I NEED MORE POWER" lol

 I think we all know either I drive a flux capacitor powered MR2 time machine or I did 14.2 which doesn't seem that great when ppl on here are pulling 12's

:( Still it was the first time out and you gotta drive home afterwards, so its a bit scary trying for the elusive 4.2

Yeah, you'll need quite a few more mods yet to get into the 4's \:D/

Anyone got some proper 1/4 mile estimates for the different (standard) revs of the mr2?

I am running ebc, intake and exhaust does 14.2 on a rev2 sound ok?

A little slow really, but not too far off. What 60' times were you getting and what trap speeds?

2.158 is slow, with practice you should be able to drop that into the 1.8 area.

Is it wheelspin or what that has an impact on the 60ft time?

What way is the best launch dump the clutch or slip it or half way between?

Wheel spin will increase your 60' time yes. There's no hard rules on how to launch, i just side step the clutch, but i know others who feed it in. I think it depends on the clutch thats in the car and the traction on the day too.
