If we get another person in on the group buy, then the heated windscreens would be ready before winter arrives.

Nick had a query and I thought that the reply would be useful for others to read here.

Here's what the manufacturer had to say about the MR2 heated windscreens:

We do offer a warranty / guarantee on the screens but it is based on customers fitting the screens as per our instructions.

Heated screens will last for a long time if fitted correctly using the correct sealant product to prevent any water ingress! If 6 months down the line the screen fails and all the correct steps are taken we can look to provide replacements or money back.

I do not have an exact date but the heated windscreens should be ready for posting to you guys in the month of August.

When I paid the deposit, the guy dealing with me said he would contact me when the windscreens are ready. They should be ready next month.

OK, good news I received this email today.

"Screens due to be ready a week on Monday if you want to start letting your group buy know."

I will be asking for payment of the remainder and postage a week today.

This would be ideal for someone who races their MR2 and wants to strip the car to reduce weight.
