Yeah that makes sense, but my concern is it makes the carbon stand out a lot more (not sure if that would be good or bad).

Anyway for the time being it doesn't look like the car will be on the road for this summer, it would have been back off end of August and I've already lost a complete month as I wanted it out all of may. Bodywork definitely won't be ready for at least a couple of weeks (possibly more), so pointless paying hundreds for a couple of months of once maybe twice a week fun

Tried on a couple of the engine lids and I think I prefer the F40 style lid over the PP lid

Although, to my eyes most things are nicer than the PP. Never been a far personally.

I never was til I bought the white car and loved it but I guess the colour contrast makes the angles look a bit weirder with a red car.
But the F40 is defo a keeper

The F40 lid for me. Years ago I looked at buying a MR2 Turbo from someone on here but bought another MX5 instead! That had a F40 style lid like that. In the flesh on the correctly modded MR2 (as this one I looked at was) and yours is they look awesome. Would look like crap on my own car as needs the right other exterior mods to pull it off imo.

Been on the car for about 1 year - body wise she is finished.. cars nearly finished, rebuilt engine last year, due to issues from the builder ( but thats another story..).. to ensure 100 % and all electric looms checked or replaced.....

The clear lid is something that has me interested actually but I don't think it would go well at all with my parts, that being said it would look wonderful with my engine bay I think

They are fibre glass front wings now with pushed out arch's.. then Hydro dipped..

Mines with a snake effect on it..again WHY not...

Yeah I have the same arches in fibreglass, thought maybe yours were full carbon

So finally got down the drag strip with it running well

Wasn't going to have it on the road this year but a 20hour shift on Saturday getting it ready and it now looks like this:

So onto the road, tried boosting a few times, wastegate and high, all worked well.
Tried a wastegate pressure first run and was sweet so onto high boost I went, unfortunately I had just enough tread in the tyres to make them road legal but not enough to grip the surface so every run was a wheelspin in 1st/2nd and sometimes 3rd, snaked quite a few times too which was fun

Considering the bald tyres I was pretty pleased with my times, 12.7 being my best. I definitely believe with decent tyres and a perfect run/more experience I could break into low 12s possibly high 11s with the current setup.

Here's a shot of my lining up with another Mr2 which won rwd shootout on the day, and also my time slips, also got told I need to wear a helmet next time as my trap speeds were high
