Shall I just do this?

](*,)

You saw my explanation and Danny was kind enough to insert my quote.

Standardisbetter.com was a joke setup by Mark. So I had some fun with it. Obviously you do get the odd person that just takes it too seriously, not mentioning any names and all that. ;)

As I pointed out my standard is better. That's it. Not worth boring me or you to death discussing it further. I'm trying to watch Le Mans here!

I just like a good argument

As for watching Lemans, try turning off your computer? Not hard really is it?

Well, got some news from the seller that the dash has a split in it:

So decided not to go for it. Still trying to find a bloody dash!

Did get Mark to ask at Toyota, but they have none left. If they had, at £380 I would have bought one.

So the search continues...

What about getting it flocked

http://www.autoflock.co.uk/

If its plastic then you could get it plastic welded and then flocked or get the one from ireland, fix that and then have that flocked

I don't want to have a flocked dashboard.

I just want one that's in very good nick. Only other option is getting it redone in vinyl so it looks as close to OEM as possible. But I'm not sure how feasible that is.

It's not necessarily about everything being OEM, but it's a JDM car and I want a JDM look. I don't think flocked is the way to go.

sorry couldn't resist :thumleft:

Not sure what else you could do, if you plastic welded it you'd still need to have it covered as you'll always see the join :?

I don't think the vinyl is repairable. I think it'd have to be stripped down to the plastic etc underneath. Then you'd need to add foam and apply vinyl. Would need to be a pro job I reckon.

Other than that, I can just sit and wait for another dash to come up I guess.

Might as well have a bash trying to fix what you've got while you wait for one to arrive

Have just found another one on the Irish forum. If it's in good nick with no cracks and he'll ship it, I'll have it.
