It's a good point. I know that Paul (@Kent Car Craft) isn't able to bring his, so can we still get in for the £9 club price if you don't arrive in an MR2?

Sorry people I can't get you a discount unless your in an mr2. It is worth the full amount with all the hangers you have access to. The american hangers is fantastic and there is a new one that has just fully opened with Concorde in, along with plenty of other planes and eye sight, reaction time and simulators. There are also other world war 1 and 2 hangers, and a restoration hanger with the plane from a football team that crash many years ago. The last hanger has land war fare.
Don't forget some planes including Concorde are open so you can walk on and have a look.

The America hanger even has part of Saddam Hussan's super gun, and you can walk under and around the planes.

People who's cars have problems could always parkup nearby and catch a lift with fellow mr2'ers.

I'm looking at joining the m11 at the Stansted a120 junction at about 9.

Does anyone fancy meeting at the services just before 9?

Thanks for clearing that up. Looking forward to seeing everyone :D

As I live about 10 miles away, I feel the full force of the "compulsory attendance" pulling me!

Plus, I've lived in the area for 7 years and never visited the museum, so it should be a great day......

.....oh and it's also my birthday!!! Suppose I should bring cakes :-k

Blimey, bit early for me!

Knowing me and the wife, we'll be rocking up sometime around midday! Getting up early at weekends is still impossible for us!

Any time is no problem, i'm just getting there early as I have organised the event. Although there is loads and loads to see, this is not your normal air field.

cakes sound great, how many candles do we need?

Matt, won't you be receiving your birthday present around then?

I sure as hell won't get there until around midday either, travelling from Kent.

I'll be in the big green passion wagon....

Indeed, you cheeky monkey!

Paul, I'll make sure either Chris, Matt or Jack can take you so you can get in for 9 dollar. Maybe all meet at mine before hand, or there's plenty of places you could park your tractor near to the museum and we'll meet you there.

Just got the map from Duxford and will post a copy soon. There is a small parking area for support vehicles, so if your brave give it a go. The worst they would do is point you to the normal gate. That way you should still pay £9.

23 clubs going including 350z, bmw alpina, ferrari, nissan sx, porsche, skyline, panther, rolls royce along with others. :thumleft:

Indeed, and being 'Friends of Duxford' means I can probably get in for free. :)

Have to bring the kids though, so no MR2 - although given all the rust, I'd probably get too depressed seeing it next to all the 'show' examples.

Hope to see you there, can you volunteer to help and restore the planes as a friend of Duxford?

mattcambs: well spotted, I have no idea who the traders are.

Good job on arranging all of this :thumleft:

Haven't been to Duxford for a long time and am looking forward to seeing the place again and meeting a lot of IMOC ers for the first time :)

Just praying that we get some good weather for the day
