Ok, I'm asking for calm here guys. The last thing we need is bitching and backbiting to cause yet another bust up.

Well done to Spud, and see you on the weekend at Andi's Mike (should be a great night).

Also Mike, was there really any need to stick Rogue's name in the title thread? I think that's the main problem here, taking away the emphasis from Spud...

PS Well done Spud! :D

Their has been a 10 second MR2 here in the UK but it wasn't built by a UK tuner, but imported direct from Jap land as is. In my post I felt the need to praise not only Andrew, (aka Spud) but to also celebrate the fact that the car was also built on home soil finally proving that we have what it takes to create a 10 second 2

Why people take offence to this fact is beyond me. It should be embraced instead of knocked :?

As far as I know that 10sec MR2 from japan never ran a 10sec over here? So this would be the first 10sec MR2 in the UK?

Congrats to both Andrew (no worries on the tyres mate :thumleft: ) AND to the car builders.

Just think, he'd never run a quarter mile before last year, LOL. Obviously he's a natural, backed up by an amazing car.

I thought he managed a high 10 eventually?

Either way it's not road legal or UK built.

An IMOC member with a full weight daily driver was doing 11.1's a year ago - just without any hype:

11s are not as sexy as 10s though are they. :)
Even if it's ten just, LOL

I think it's amazing Andrews car is a daily driver too! All this and drove 250 miles home, you have to admire the engineering whatever your thoughts about the engineers are.
