Was a trackday at RAF Marham ,with 2 mile straight so vmax is acheivable :thumleft:

there were a few 600bhp supras /skylines there and a modified porsche 996 and a ferrari 599, some were out of my league though apparently the porsche was running 700bhp and it sounded it too

also painted the calipers whilst they were off
and i raised the tein coilovers by 10mm all round as the rears were scuffing out over bumps

Had a late one driving to surrey last night 300 mile round trip

but new figure

442.5 bhp and 355 ft/lb of torque at 1.5 bar \:D/

its gonna be very close to 500 bhp at 2 bar but we'll have to see later on

time on the dyno just ran out last night and i can only thank ryan and charlie for working till 10:30 pm like they did on my behalf.
next time  it will all click into place
i rather stupidly put my 15's with 225 rubber on and this didn't help on the dyno as they were a little under size for a 450bhp car :eye: they were blooming hot after a few pulls

Thats some beast you've built there Marc what does 442hp feel like ?

Got any of the plots, Thats an impressive tourqe figure too :thumleft:

How does the GT compare to the T3/4 in terms of drivability I imagine its a bit more progresive :-k

I'll get the plots posted up in good time, i havent really had too much time to spare lateley with getting the turbo on ,and mapped and tonight i am round a mates as we have got an early start going to a trackday in the beast

As for driveability i have to say given the obvious size difference in the turbo's there is NO NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE in spool at all

In fact the gt3076 is making 1.5 bar by 4000 rpm on the road .

Dont get me wrong the t3/t4 was a great turbo ,Just the gt3076 is mental .
The response everyone bangs on about is unreal .change from 2nd to third and about 1/2 a second after you plant the throttle again the boost is maxxed out again .

I am looking forward to a 2bar tune to see what the turbo can really do .I'm more than hopeful i can make 500bhp with it

alli will say is wet roads and 225/50/15 tyres and 442 bhp do not mix well

well the trackday today went very well .had some overheating problems which i think could be a cracked block
But I mangaged to keep it ok for the day and it has got me home no problem
I managed to max the car out on the straight 8000 rpm in 5th and there wasn't a single car which was anywhere near me on the straights  didn't get a speedo reading as the bloody thing packed up whilst being mapped
Amongst the owned on the straights were
Ferrari f355
BMW e46 M3 ( the owner made a point of coming to find me and i quote from him) ""what you done to that car,i was maxed out at 155 and you passed me like i was going backwards "
07 plate subaru STI
westfields a plenty

The TRD /Cusco /Tein/Toms suspension upgrades made the car a dream round the corners and surprisingly the 195 /225 15" tyres had ample grip and the car felt more balanced on the 15's than it ever did on 16's or 17's ,very progressive feel to the car and it communicated very well letting me know exactly when it was going to break loose .
I only spun once and that was at 100mph when i hadn't quite scrubbed enough speed off but somehow i managed to go backwards for 100 feet before spinning the right way again at 40 and i dropped it into 2nd and carried on still on the track (i felt like a proper stunt driver doing j-turns LOL)

so all in all very good day :thumleft:

Sounds like you got some serious power goin down there mate and the handling/driving to go with it, well done.

Hope the blocks not cracked though as this would be another monster back down the rebuild road, but hey that always means bigger and better.......right????????

Yep power is awesome
As for the block ,i will have to investigate further ,at the moment on the street i cannot get the thing to overhreat ,so may leave it for the summer . I was going to get the block sleeved when i first done it but though i would risk it ,if it hasn't paid off then oh well ,it will only cost me another gasket set and the cost of the sleeving anyway ,and a days work

not really bothered too much ,i seem to have plenty of money at the moment Another £1000 on the car wont hurt :pale:

plus i was wanting to take the lot out again to bling it up soon aswell so in fact it will only take a few hours to strip it and rebuild it once its out \:D/
