Yep think he was!

Best I managed was a 14.3, standard rev3 except an exhaust. Better than my first run of 17 or so when I slid all the way up the strip!

didn't know you were there to be honest toni.

yes the mr2's put in a bit of a pitiful times today, might have been the traction off the line, no one seemed to be able to put the power down as i saw lots of wheel spin, this is why i was surprised when nath came back with those times.

We've had a totally standard gen 3 doing 13.9's at pod and that was with wheel spin in 1st off the line

I heard you were there but since I don't know what you look like couldn't introduce myself

Quite pleased with my 14.3 - the first time I ever went up the 'pod today!
Am pretty sure it could go under 14 with a little more practice - plus one or two bits I've bought. :D

yeah i usually keep myself to myself, don't like just going up and introducing myself as if i'm someone special. hope you know what i mean.

Well thats not a bad time at all for your first time up the strip :) Only better things to come.

You weren't driving the red gen 3 by anychance? raced someone in a yellow gen 3 nearer the end?

LOL

The car doesn't feel that fast though - time at least for a boost controller. :D

I had a bit of trouble getting traction too. My best was 13.7@ 105mph. Nice terminal speed but I just couldnt crack the start. Apperently one of those little junior drag cars spilled some oil on the start line of the left lane and they didnt clean it up properly #-o My first effort of the day was bad! Gave it way too many revs at start and managed to spin through first and second with a massive bang/jolt when I managed to gain traction. Probably looked good for the crowd though!

Had a good day and it was good to meet up with a few guys from here. Shame I couldnt stay past 5 to meet with the small convoy of MR2s that we passed on the way home.

Hopefully Ill see you guys again at the Jap show in June!

Was nice to meet you guys

U missed out on jouney home rory, Looked at speedo and had done 1089 miles so was run in, Checked oils and coolant and then turned boost up to 1bar. Good to say it goes like stink with hybrid, cc cams etc.

Was so funny when was just crusing home and james pulled along side, pumping horn away. needless to say i showed the boys who built my engine what it could do. Spoke to james after and he said i spat out some nice flames as well.

Have you had it mapped yet? If not i'd be patient with the throttle until you have. Would be a shame to break it before you've enjoyed it! #-o

=D> Good day out all :D

Was hoping to break the 12s in the rev3, traction was a major irritation for me too, spose it goes without saying running a diffrenet set of wheels with Avon tyres #-o

13.3 best for me which was a let down at my speed accross the line was 109mph, if only i could have made better starts ](*,) .

Anyways met a few cool peeps and spent too much money! But had a blast...... Next time.....

That's impressive! Even with Eagle F1s I was spinning the wheels in third, and yes on standard boost!

hi guys,

santa pod was awesome yeasterday. never been to one of these before and found it a real good experience!

Was soo happy to get into the 12's with minimal mods. My last run was a 12.9 with a mass of wheel spin - really annoyed me as i honestly think that it could have been a 12.7 or even a high 12.6. my terminal speed was 107.8 mph on that run as where i did my 2 - 12.8's the top speed was 105 on one and 106 on the other!!

0-60ft times 1.82 seconds......... have it!!!!

Good to meet a couple of guys there too. some real nice examples of the mr2's \:D/

cheers 4 the big up tim youu'll have to help get me into the lower 12 later this year !! :D

Hey mikejc

the car is runnign on standard rev2 ecu at mo with afm etc so its a/f ratio fine. I am installing powerfc then its being mapped for bigger injectors.

I am so caution wish things like this. drove like a pussy for 750 miles then slowed bringed the revs up and boost to 1000 miles, just ask james asked

goes well now tho. Roll on mapping
