It is natural though is it not for members of a particular car club to have a bias towards that car? I am getting on a bit now, therefore my car history is long

& varied, I have both owned

& experienced so called

"better" performace cars that cost a hell of a lot more than any mark of MR2, but I keep coming back to the mk2 turbo because for me it offers the best overall package of looks/performance,

&, most importantly, pride of ownership.Of course there are better cars out there, but they, for one reason or another, don't do it for me.

By definition, modifying means personalising, so the more you tailor the car to your own preference, the

"better" it becomes,

& if you do it right it becomes much more capable of competing of so called

!better" cars.

I am in the process of spending quite a bit on upgrading my rev 3 turbo rather than buy a more expensive car simply because I love it.

The more I spend on it the better it is, so ergo the more I love it.

Partly it is the joy of spanking more exotic cars that perpetuates that bond between driver

& car.

Surely we can all admit there are

"better" cars out there, but for such a high profile

& respected member to continually knock the turbo in particular in it's own club is a little strange? There are loads of opinions I read on here everyday that I don't agree with, but it isn't difficult for me to ignore it

& keep quiet instead of having to shout out my own particular mantra in opposition.
