ok just got back.

big thanks to all you guys who showed up even though the weather was crap.

27 cars turned up.

by the time we got to the pub we were down to 25 (one broke down, the other couldnt do the full run). my exhaust decided to start blowing badly which when we got to the pub dismantled the car and found that two nuts on the turbo to manifold had come off. tightened it all back up after about an hour working in a pub carpark in the pooring rain to find it was still blowing as there was a big chunk missing out of the gasket #-o

anyway decided to do the run anyway even though i was down on power and sounded like a tractor

sorry if i didnt get to speak to some people, didnt really get chance to once we got the pub and i think people got fed up and went off in little groups.

look out for another run next month. same route but this time less drama and nice weather.

i took a few pics which ill put in goldys thread.

see you all at the next one.

Hi, Got back safe and sound, enjoyed the run, 195 miles door to door. First part out to the Cat and Fiddle was a bit special, following the Supra and gently squirting from corner to corner listening to the Fiesta rs turbo's dump valve behind me =D> . Looking forward to better weather, hopefully sunshine and dry tarmac

What a day. \:D/ 220 miles in total costing about 50 quid in fuel. :?
Every type of weather possible. We really enjoyed it, Thanks to tom and hicks for arranging it and taking the time to sort a great route out.

I have put a load of pics here, http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... 003#302003

Sorry I missed it, forgot it was on

I was on the way to my parents house and caught the tail end of your convoy going through Chatsworth (had a silver Mk2 behind me), saw loads of MR2's ahead and thought #-o

At least you had some interesting weather, Cat & Fiddle ain't the best place in snow!!

Great day/run guys. Thanks to Hicks and Tom for organising it - well done fellas =D> =D> =D>

Shame it wasn't a bit warmer but we've got that to look forward to :)

Hope Stacey got her car sorted out in the end and arrived home safely? :-k

Was hoping to have quite a lot of pics to put on here but unfortunately after asking my daughter to make sure the batteries were charged-up and ready and her saying they had been - they were not! :x #-o

Oh, and sorry if i was holding anyone up at all - that's the first time i've taken my Tubby out on a run. It can only get better :thumright:

Anyway, cracking day had and look forward to the next one \:D/

Thanks for organising a cracking day out guys, I think in the end the weather actually made it more interesting, a real test of our driving skills.

If anyone wants more, then the MK1 club are doing a similar run next Sunday, I'm sure they won't mind a few Mk2's tagging along since the Mk1's were invited to this one. Check the thread out. :D

What a day! Just dragged my ar$e up off the couch as the weekend and todays drive has finally caught up with me. Was a great drive and a great variation in the weather, cant believe how fast it changed from sunny to snowstorm!
I have some video footage that should be on my site www.tagworld.com/lodge1 by tomorrow so be sure to check it out. May not be that brill as I got lost for 10 miles and was then at the back of the convoy for the most part. Not sure who I was behind on the second leg, it was a black MK2 turbo with 2 black scoops, your exhaust sounded great!
Anyway big thanks to Hicks, Tom and everyone else who helped make it happen! Lets do another one soon! :D 8)

Wierd, you should see a small video screen on the left with Imoc cat n fiddle run written above it. There should be a grey play button, but its quite a big file (about 15mb) so it may not appear until the video has loaded, may take a minute or 2. Let me know how you get on :D

Well, I don't know about you lot but I was pretty knackered by the time I got home - well worth it, tho!

Thanks to everyone that turned up - a great number of us!! =D>

Next one shouldn't be too far away!!

Some great pics, too, guys! I tried a few "stick the camera out the window pointing backwards and see what happens" kinda pics and will try and get them on the thread soon!

Julie enjoyed it, think maybe it was more the walkie talkies than the ride tho ...lol, they were a cracking idea some of the things said were a right laugh....

ps.... who does she owe chocolate limes too...........lol
