called the bank this morning and it was put in on the 31st so should be cleared tomorow all being well.

Dont understand why its taking its time - it went out of my bank on 4th august- as per my previous post

cheques are fickel things

they clear out of the onwrs bank then the funds float about between banks for a few days then land in the recipients bank accout.

Ah right - i thought when it left my bank that it went straight into yours - i dont send cheques very often so im a bit clueless with that sort of thing,
