All looks good guys, be nice to meet up again.

I think for me it's going to be a bit of a learning session as the car is quite different from last year and ideally I'd like to play around with settings and just find one which suits me.

This time I won't be running around with crap rear damper settings and a loss bolt on the rear suspension (You wouldn't believe how long it took to find that). Which will give me time to learn the track and have more fun.

All thats left now is to make sure I get the car ready for then, which is easier said then done

If you do take stuff off your car, just remember to put any nuts n bolts into a handy tub so you dont lose em and you will be fine... :)

Jo, I'll see if I can talk Karen into letting you have a few laps in her 'Challenge car if you like. See what you think... That's if you fit her driving position.

Just got some Nankang NS2 tyres for my stock rims(15s) to use on the day. £30 each new - just the rears. Cant say ive heard of them to be honest. What are they likely to be like?

I'll be running Michelin Pilots @ the front

Anyone ran something similar on track?

I have. Documented here:

http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Nankang/NS2.htm

Basically on track they overheated really quickly. I do have a somewhat sideways style though so work tyres very hard.

To give you an idea the fronts on my NA went off in 5 track miles. I didn't stay out on them to see if they'd come back to me as it was the end of the day and I was just out on the NS2s to see what they'd be like.

When I got back into the pits the grained really badly, hence going to xxxx.

They were fun though :)

Anyone know the best setup(well in your opinion) for Koni adjustables on a track like rockingham?

Start around the middle with both ends the same then dial in the car to your driving style.

its pretty smooth surface for most of it, and some great kerbs to be taken.
I'd go for a stiff setting rather than soft, but this is based on some guess work really.
The great thing is that you can adjust easily when you are there :thumleft:

Jason_pmr2 me and Tomiam will be there all day in a blue and white (Depending if I get around to cleaning it) mk2 mr2 's.
We ain't experts but happy to try and help you out with the settings on the day.

As Stated above it's a good idea to start around the middle and then do one adjustment at a time to see how it feels.

I'll be messing around with mine most of the day but hoping not to be touching the arb's to much ;).

Dry: ARB's max stiffness and Yoko A048R's on 15" wheels.

Wet: ARB's least stiffness and Yoko A539 on 14" wheels! :(

FTW!

Was good to meet some new folks. I didnt get much time to mingle and chat as normal. I was either videoing or driving.

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did. It was good to get a feel for the R888's on track and I must admit that it took me a while to get up the confidence to really push them at speed.
I know some people have said they are really snappy, but I didnt find them snappy at all, even right on the limit / just over the limit they were progressive. Perhaps its the way my car is set up /shrug

Only gripe about the day was the lack of respect for overtaking by consent. Twice I nearly side swipped a caterham, both times they were trying to overtake on a corner without consent. I heard of a Lotus 2-11 than got hit by a caterham too (damaged his front wheel badly).
There were also a couple of cars who must have broken indicators (not the caterwestfieldhams) as they refused to move over.

Anyways - hope everyone else had fun too. If you are in the Toyota Sprint Series, see ya there! :D
