When you arrive, go see Jonny and explain that you'd like to get out. He'll have a good idea about any possible places. You may need to wait till after the briefing when it can be seen clearly how many haven't turned up.

Get there around 9ish.

Good stuff :thumright:

If you liked Elv you'll love angersea, its a little gem of a circuit. Plus half the tyre wear too.

Was a good day for most. Feel sorry for the guy who rolled his car. Gotta be gutted with that. Appart from that tho it was all good. Got a tyre smoking display from GtsChris, and Tom gave me a passenger ride in his tubby.... I now want one!... Lauren jumped out her skin with a 'launch control' demonstration (she was stood inbetween 2 '6ft flameing' exhausts) =D>

All in all a good day! Can't wait till March now. \:D/

no longer a trackday virgin \:D/
i will be buzzing of this for a long time to come yet, what an adrenaline rush
was absolutely hammering the nads of the car all afternoon and she performed impeccably, learnt a lot about how my car handles today - f***king brilliantly :D,
didnt get much of the expected brake fade as i was constantly locking the fronts up under braking, only did about 5 laps at a time though
track layout was fantastic allowing you to really push the car, which i obviously did  , pushed it a bit too far on a few occasions and spun it, but i have a new saying, if you dont spin it every now and then, your not going fast enough :D \:D/
btw, cheers for the tips on the first few laps JJ
was some nice machinery out on the track, some v quick 200sx's (still managed to get past a few though  ), some insanely quick caterfields (of which one in particular was probably lapping about 20 secs quicker then everyone else  ), a nice sierra cosworth and a few scoobys/evo's, and of course 4 mr2 turbos - one of the mr2's managed to get its driver a friendly warning for doing impressions of a fish   , chris - your a nutter O:)
unfortunately it wasnt all rosy for everyone, one of the 200sx guys managed to flip his car  :pale: , was a right mess, though he was ok
didnt half drink some juice though today, had to fill up with some £1 a liter bp ultimate  so total fuel bill for the day including there and back £80 :pale:
quite an expensive day all round with the new tyres i had to put on at the end.

:clown:
only have 1 other pic worth posting (crap camera phone) though i'm sure ben or someone else will be posting a few (has a better one of my tyre)

sound geezers mk1 s/c (sorry bud, cant remember your name #-o ) with benf, bens turbo'd roadster, hedgehog dodgers R32, andy f's monster (got to hear the launch control  ), my 2, and JJ's 2 hiding its ugly little mug behind a 4x4
quite a good club turnout for a non imoc event i reckon, was cool to meet a few other members - sound geezer  , ben f, JJ, andy f, lauren and fella, icsononove, hedgehog dodger and a few other where there i didnt really get chance to chat with - gts chris, steve cordiner, TC07 (i think - black mk2?) another member in a red rev5, sorry bud didnt catch your name and a cute lass in another red mk2 (sarah maybe?) *waves* was nice to meet you all :)
till the next time
roll on angersea \:D/

Impressive tyreslickage!! ;) How did i miss that!! Sounds like you got well into the swing of it!

You know what they (well what i say) about spins. If you spin its an orgasm. Multiple spins = ...... ;)

The sound geezer in question will be Blokey on here. Yep he's a top guy.

Yeah, i honestly think that AndyF has damaged my hearing doing that launch control thing. 5 hours later and my ears still physically hurt. It must have been about 140db. I know it seemed funny at the time, but really it was very painful as well as scaring me half to death!
