Cheers mate. Regarding the diffuser, I really wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but now it's on and painted, I'm happy with it. I agree, it goes well with the Border spats. :D

Forgot to add the results of fitting the TRD low temp thermostat compared with the factory Toyota thermostat.

Both results from cruising home on the M1 from Barnsley (45 miles):

TRD low temp thermostat:
Water temp: 70 degrees
Oil temp: 90 degrees.

Perfect. Temps would obviously rise with load/boost. Now compared to the data for the stock thermostat:

Stock Toyota thermostat:
Water temp: 82 degrees
Oil temp: 100-110 degrees.

Not too cool. Running cooler, though yes.

I did some research into this with a few different well known sources, before fitting.

Temps are perfect for me. Reason being is the car is a weekend car only. Once oil up to cruising temp of 90 degrees, a spirited drive round some country roads on boost etc saw oil temps raise to between 100-110 degrees.

The only time I take the car out is to have some fun in it, so temps will always be 100 degrees or more to burn off any moisture in the oil.

I'm more than happy with the results. Perfect for the mountains too.

I was more commenting on the coolant temp side of things, the PFC has a water temp correction table, two in fact, one for vac and one for boost - basically a curve of fuel enrichment vs water temp, if it hasn't been altered from the base apexi settings (I'm yet to see a map that has been, including one of Ryan G's) then anything under 80 deg will richen the mixture - the % of enrichment is dependent on the temp obviously, but if you're consistently running under 80deg then you're over fuelling, all of the time.

I have an AEM wideband gauge. AFRs have been monitored cruising and on boost/under load.

And whilst there may be a tiny difference in fuel requirements it's so small as AEM shows no difference.

Latest purchase, a pair of red 3 point Willans harnesses to go with my Noble M12 seats:

Only one pic, as other is obviously identical

Now for some spreader plates.....

Time for an update.

Car has just had it's yearly check over and a full service. During this, it was discovered that one of my brake calipers was leaking past the piston seal:

Image

:(

A refurbished caliper was ordered, and arrived the same day! That's what I call service!

Shiny new caliper:

This is now fitted and bled. Won't look new for long with my Carbotech brake pads!!

Next up, as I never use the aircon, may as well remove it. First up, front bumper off and aircon radiator removed.

Now you see it:

Image

Now you don't:

Image

Just the Radtech chargecooler rad and main engine rad there now. Should increase airflow through the main radiator.

Also removed:

-Aircon compressor
-Dryer
-Aircon Idle up
-Any other miscellaneous bits that could be removed easily

And finally, my Willans harnesses are now installed.

First up, longer bolts were ordered to allow them to maintain the original carpet space from the bulk head and not 'pinch' the carpet when tightened up:

Image

Also ordered, were spreader plates for the bulk head for the top harness bolts:

Image

Spacers have been made to prevent the bolt pinching the carpet. Passenger side harness bolt fitted:

And then repeated on the drivers side. Both seats refitted, complete with 3 point Willans harnesses:

True to the Noble, M12 seats with Willans harnesses :thumleft:

Next up, MOT tomorrow :D

Did u not get the air con system completely renewed when the car was built?

If so, what was the reason to get rid of a working system?

I did completely renew the a/c system, yeah. I must admit I got a bit excited at the time the car was built and thought I'd get the a/c working. Hind sight is brilliant, and now I wished I'd not bothered.

Not used it since fitting, so thought it may as well be removed.

It's now all up for sale.

Decided that seeing as I've got rid of the aircon, I'd tidy up the heater control panel.

I bought a UK non air con heater control panel, and removed my import version. Units side by side, recently purchased UK unit on the left:

Image

The units are not just a straight swap. The UK one has a mechanical heater slider and the import one is electronic. Other differences also exist:

Image

I then set about carefully dismantling both units, with a view to transferring the UK faceplate onto the import unit:

Image

Individual parts cleaned up prior to reassembly. Unit fully put back together and looking new. One import heater unit, housed in a UK non aircon body complete with aircon blanking plate:

Image

Unit not put back in the car yet, as in waiting on delivery of a UK center dash with closeable center vents.

Pretty happy with the outcome on the heater panel though. :D
