Meet and greet would have been a good idea, there were so many 2's at JAE I had no idea where anyone was camping, and no idea what any of the IMOC members looked like with the exception of Earl

Don't think I got off to a good start being asked for IMOC ID at the gate

From what I saw all the Mods worked really hard

Think it was a real shame that I couldn't have arrived on the friday night, think it would have made a difference

I wouldn't have minded paying more to contribute to a club fund for food, beer or BBQ's

To be honest, if anyone wanted my Stella they would have been welcome to it!

I didn't manage to find the IMOC stand, the rain came and stopped play.... it wasn't this one was it?

http://www.megaboost.co.uk/supra/mine/j ... _3230.html

I noted a few familar cars on there but wasn't sure if it was IMOC or not?

I'm not keen on the new location, it lacked the intimacy of Billing and despite the promises of it being a safer more controlled environment all those roads seemed to encourage idiots to drive too fast. I also hear there was the usual assortment of thefts on the Saturday night - banners and stuff again... a real shame.

Anyway all my pics are here if anyone is bored:

Lets not get into a discussion on the board.. not really the time or place.

lets just say there were two sides to it and you only heard one.

I thought I saw your car and Dale wandering about so presumed it was IMOC.... was too busy trying to get to the shelter of my car though so didn't hang around.

Shame about the weather.

hmmm I noticed that too :-k

another case of the Mk1 beating the Mk2  ... or maybe Mk2's melt in rain :) except for Paul Port's and the Avanti (sp?)

Good to meet you and phil... maybe we should start a Mica Blue Mk1 club? :D

Nice pics, although I can't help notice that you were rather interested in those red-lycra clad girls :)

Shame you didn't make it to the IMOC stand, would have liked to have met you, having raced so many times in LFS.

Just a few good mates with jap cars buddy. a mixture of alcohol, football, banter, "american style" doughnuts, and Shower gel (don't ask!) resulted in a fantastic weekend regardless of the good old british weather! :D

Not guilty, that was the other photographer :)

Yeah would have been nice, unfortunately a nasty hangover, the rain and a lack of direction meant I never made it - didn't even speak to any of the Supra lads and I was parked on the stand. Met more IMOC people in a random pub miles down the road the night before than I did at the event :)

Just waiting for a few quotes to come back - she's got a company car so it's all sorted, just a pain in the ar5e having to deal with it all.

I was actually admiring your engine install on saturday, but unfortunately you must have wandered off, coz I couldn't see who the car belonged to, shame :(

Sorry I missed you mate, I stayed for a while and then went walk about to other stands, we were laughing cos a couple of times we looked over and saw people around the car, but everytime we got back they were all gone. Did chat to a few guys that came over while we were there but they seemed to be coming from other stands.

Ditto!

We were trying to find you too as we wanted to hear the V6 start up etc and were all very impressed with the install.

No problem mate, think a lot of owners were guilty of not staying with their cars, myself included.

But then there was nowhere near as much interest in my 'shed' as you had in your V6

I should maybe have made efforts to mingle but I didn't know who anybody was, I recognised a few cars (Bry's, Mark Edwards but didn't know who they were :( , sorry I didn't meet you guys. The only people I knew where the ones we travelled down with. IMOC was had a big stand but it was full of small groups. We did have an exellent weekend, some of the cars on display were out of this world and th mk1 owners club were very friendly.

Sorry if this offends anyone but I was disappointed I couldn't put names and faces to people I had spoken to online.

Maybe a meet and greet would be a good idea next year with a time that people will know when to be on the stand perhaps it would feel more like a club for everyone that is a member of the site. Just a suggestion

Loved your car mate,it looked so professional how you've done the engine, tried looking for you around your car a couple of times to have a chat with you but you must have been off wandering.Catch up with you next year, lol
Watch out OZ here I come !!
