Mine hasnt missed a beat in 3 years, touching as much wood as possible I notice that the vents get a fair bit of dust on the surface, is it worth opening it up and giving it a good hoover?

My PC gets fair to much dust inside after a few months of use.


It got pretty damn hot but thats all the vids on youtube do, we couldn't put our hands near the chips lets put it that way and just thought the soulder must have meltd by now so let it cool down for a bit.

After mine gave up a couple of lads brought their's in work to blow them out with an air line LOL

I had noticed the fan on mine getting unusually noisy the last few weeks because it's virtually silent and the fan in my PS2 in comparison is quite an intrusion but put it down to the recent hike in ambient temperatures and didn't think of flipping it over to check how blocked up it was.

It almost lasted 2 months :( YLOD'd again last night :evil:

Fix it.. then sell it.. then get a Slim with the external power pack it should be better long term.

Ah, okay. I thought that was only with the 360.
