The physics involved in cornering a bike are totally different to cornering a car, theres a lot more to it than just tyre contact patches, gyroscopic effects start coming into play.

However the Top Gear test
(as already said 100 times now) was two pro drivers going for it on a closed track.
It was a pure test of car vs bike and the car won.

Ok, a car 9/10 will probably corner better than a bike.
