I will be running the drags for jap show and sort my oil prob. We are getting rid of the sump pressure. I had no breathers connected so she spat oil over the turbo! Thats y it looked like it let go. I ran a 12.50 and blow a boost hose.

Thanks Bri. Fueling etc should be sorted for Rotorstock, so we'll be able to give it some serious stick then.

Hey

Congrats on the results at totb. I misssed totb this year  I was looking forward to seeing some of the top mr2s in the country in action. Where abouts are you guys going to be putting your cars to the test next? Some mention Rotorstock and the jap finals at santa pod. Very interested in you guys putting some other jap metal to shame

Cheers

Hey did any1 get the video of Freke beating the Viper? Who would have thought an MR2 turbo could beat a Viper..thats amazing! Well done Nathan!

What I dont understand though is how come all the German cars dont compete at this event? Its not like this is a strictly Jap event...

What do you think the MK1 Escorts were underneath? :)

As for the Germans, I guess they are worried about something - would be nice to see more "supercars" and exotica though.

IIRC originally it was a 'supercar' event (the first one had Porsches) but the modifying crowd muscled in and the supercar owners got the huff and said they wouldn't take part any more?? (Saw an argument on this on GTROC many moons ago, same discussion where they said MR2s were not even worthy to be there  ).

Real ones you twonk! :P

With most Cossie lover/owners rosetinted view of the performance scene I'd have expected a load of them to show that their K plate cars are indeed worth the £10,000 asking price today :D

yeah?

Always thought it was modified stuff, Chris had a Rover 220 tomcat turbo from what I can remember and TOTB came about through the 200+ club and TrackDayPlus

I think

No you are right, it's just that there was a divergence of views on which way it should go in the beginning. I might be talking rubbish though, perhaps Michael knows? :)

It was a 200+ Club biased event initially but over the years there have been a few exotics like the RUF 911 etc - they just don't like getting spanked by "cheap" normal cars so haven't come back :)

Personally I like to see the stuff from the earlier events more than the current trend for the 8 second drag cars, the Granada, Cossie Van etc but it's always nice to hear / see a hefty hypercar doing it's thing.
