Thought my car was ready but its holding back and seems down on power. Ordered a new rotor arm and plugs....let's hope that's all it is.

We're almost there. All we can do now is hope for weather like we had this weekend.
Cars all ready, new rocker cover painted and fitted. It's all clean will just need a wipe off on Saturday.
Camera and go pro are all charged and ready
Can't wait

Was in Southampton on Sunday, and if we can have that weather I'd be most happy. However, Countryfile weather forecast didn't look good for this week in terms of amounts of rain in the South. That forecast isn't often wrong (which is why I watch it) unfortunately!

Got all my alignment done.

Figured out my rear suspension wobble i've suffered for the last 18 months - passenger rear wheel is out of round! So all the bodywork time i've spent on it recently, claying each panel individually is going to be a waste of time as i've got to swap to my spare un-refurbed wheel! :(

You've still got time -

I reckon you could get someone round to you to do a quick temporary refurb to get the wheel up to scratch.

Or

You can get wheels re-rounded - check if a wheel refurb place could do it.

I'm going to swap the spare mate.

I had offers of getting it refurbed but i'm happy to be able to bring the car along to tbh.

I'll be sorning it after the show to get the bits and pieces sorted out that are still ongoing.

The issue is that my spare is basically illegal, there for extreme measures - a garage won't really want to swap an illegal back onto another rim will they?

I would think it's unlikely to be honest. I take it your spare wheel is full size and you'll wanna swap the good tyre from the out of round wheel to your spare?

Yes mate - I've got a full size mk3 wheel as a spare.

National Tyres will swap my tyres over tomorrow for £10 including balancing...including the bad one.

Ah i see. They'll prob have to bin the illegal one. What size tyres do the mk.3s use? I have a tyre taking up space in the garage that could be of use to you.

It's okay mate.

If they decide they don't want to refit it, i'll buy the cheapest (known make) they have. It'd probably be a Toyo T1R if they've got any.
