The stand was usperb, a few alterations to it for Autumn and I reckon we can win best in show.

Not critisisms but observations:

1.

We had a lot of our unused

/ personal stuff along the back of the the stand, so people had to negotiate them to look at the boards.

2.

The MK1 Club floor banner

- created a bit of a barrier at the front of the stand between the two cars.

3.

The number of people and toolkits

- looked messy and was quite lethal to negotiate, didn't help to bring people in.

4.

Needed boards detailing what is being done to the cars

- spoon feed the information to the judges.

Now the uplifting part:

The engine on the stand

- excellent idea, got talking with many people because of that engine, it drew lots of attention in a good way.

The energy on our stand

- unstoppable.

I blinked and the bumper had reappeared on Phil's car along with the headlights.

If the judges had even bothered to come to our stand they would have seena bunch of happy, dirty people having the time of their lives, our stand was by far one of the friendliest and relaxed stands there.

We were one of the very few stands actually doing work, not showing off finished cars and

photos of finished projects: Karl's exuberance with the angle grinder is testament to what we were undertaking.

Speaking of which, have to put out a massive thanks to Colin from the Triumph Dolomite Club who kindly provided us with an angle grinder

Overall I think we had the best stand for information, projects being undertaken and sheer fun!

Roll on the autumn show!
