I'm wondering if it's going to be better to run an S1 server if S2 is going to exclude people.

tried s2 - said host has different gamecode, i assume that meant you where on s1? so tried that and #-o had to reinstall windows/everything else at the weekend and forgot you needed 200 credits for the gt turbo so no s1 for me i'm afraid :(
Jay

edit: well not tonight anyway

We never use the turbo anyways! GTi and GT only.

At the moment the server is running S1.
If people turn up who can only run S1 then it will stay S1!

Hope you had some good racing last night - along with my dell vanishing, my router has decided to give up the ghost, leaving me with USB access only, so I can't run t'internet and have my wheel plugged in at the same time - not to mention the bus congestion which would happen if I could..

Sorry for the late start Jay - too much talking and not enough racing!
Myself and Nelo finally got down to it on an empty track and raced solidly for about 2 hours. By the end of it we were both amazingly down into the 1:35's I'm not sure if this was going from S2 back to S1 (it did take a while to get the hang of it)
It was pretty extreme stuff!

All the above is lies except for the too much talking bit, We actually had one race which Jay crashed out of leaving just me and Nelo which I naturally won in the end \:D/
Not bad actually one race in 2 hours (way too much chat)

I'm not gonna be around for the next two weeks due to work  (although it is a trip round Europe with all expenses paid including beer  )
I can still run the server but will need to know whether S1/2 beforehand.

Found a link to a config file for S2 to optimise all settings for slower computers.

http://forum.rscnet.org/attachment.php? ... tid=273507

Replace the cfg.txt file in your S2 directory (backup your current one first)

Let me know if it makes a difference!

I'm going on tour with a metal band as the guitar tech (roadie) check out details here >>>>> http://www.morganalefay.se/schedule.htm

I also get free board and lodgings (bunk on tourbus). The only expense you have to pay for are cigarettes but I dont smoke so thats me covered :)

I'm not flying out until tomorrow but I'm working in Birkenhead tonight doing a PA for a local band - god help me with all this football nonesense.

I will check in later to see how many (probably none) racers turn out tonight :)

Hello IMOCers! Is anyone gonna race tomorrow night.
I'm sat in an internet cafe in Köln but will be back in time for tomorrow night. Some of the Swedish guys I've been working with seem to think that they will be good at LFS and may be coming along for a kicking ;)
