Well no-one was available for a listen. I'll give 3S a call and see if I can drop by on the way up to Bedford this afternoon.

Anna, Vashy's in the States until mid this year. Although you'd think he'd visit. :eye:

Martin I've just assembled the damn engine I don't really want to dissassemble it just yet!

These are what I've got on - 205/50 - 15s - at least they are new so have good tread depth to cope with the wet

If you're around on Sunday I'll have to let you have a go behind the wheel of my MK1a and see what you think. I know you always said yours understeered - will be interesting to see what differences (if any) you pick up on ..

Cheers Ben i'd be interested, though i have to work so it would involve some poor sod covering the pitlane. ;)

I wasn't being serious last time :P You people!

I am actually quite happy to be able to go out and do something wild, I've never done anything yet like this, nor have I ever in another car :) I drive quite sedenatly.

Anyway, I've got part-worn Eagle F1's on the front and P9000's on the rear (or something Pirellia meant for a Lotus :p). If they get worn down, it's not a biggie.

Girlfriend is coming, I've e-mailed Jonnie for two helmets, but can I also mention this to you Lauren? I've not heard back from BAT.

Cheers

I'd email him again... you can book helmets via the bat webshite, so you could do that. Tbh there are quite a lot of hire helmets knocking around so you should be okay.

Just got this via another member (Mark):
I was listening to BBC radio Stoke today and several listeners were complaining of over zealous policing on Angelesey, resulting in them receiving speeding ticket's via mobile camera's. Even for doing 35 in a 30 zone. I don't condone speeding but the tactics did seem unfair.

Whilst i've never actually seen any evidence of cameras on Anglesey, North Wales police are pretty strict and i've been stopped by unmarked cars before, so be warned it can happen. I've also seen camera w**ker vans on the A5 before.

So be warned, better safe than sorry.

Yes, passed a white K or L reg Ford Hi-Cube van in a layby on the A5 near Shewsbury - I couldn't work out why it had one door open - when I got closer you could see the long lens poking out of the back, with black out curtain above/below.

Ben,

You are a bit of an expert on these things (And I am not!!!):

I have a digital camcorder with AV in (Canon MV750i), the AV in cable I have has 3 phono connectors on the end of it. One visual, 2 audio. (? :))

I attach visual to the bullet cam to get the picture feed - This works fine.

The problem is I don't have a mic to plug the two audio connectors into to.

The camcorder has a built in mic, but as soon as I plug in the AV-in cable, it defaults to looking for an audio signal from the two phono connectors. I had a quick look at the settings on the cam to see if I could use the internal mic, but I couldn't find anything.

What set up have you used in the past?

If I buy an external mic to use with the av connectors, will it need a pre-amp?

Thanks,

Dom
