I have done a thing! Can you tell I'm pleased about it?
![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
We'll get on to that shortly.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Before we do, there's an intake to talk about.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Part of what I did the other day included fitting a stock BPV.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
My plan was always to run the recirc on the car, as let's just say I'm not fond of BOVs.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'd been trying to work out the best way to plumb the hose in, given the pipe on the intake is in an odd position
![Neutral ](./images/smilies/icon_neutral.gif)
I did look at using the kit from the Rev 2 and making a kind of hybrid.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Problem was that the couplings etc etc are different sizes and I'd have been left with another spare blocked attachment.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Instead I've opted to rotate it 90 degrees, but while I was at it I thought I'd pull it all out and tidy it up.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4236/35034719996_d9c64cc2e6_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
While it was all pulled I thought I'd check the turbo, see if there's any play in the shift or residue.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'm pleased to say it's absolutely perfect.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Almost no movement in the shaft and it's all nice and clean in there.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Impressive really and a big relief!

![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Time to prep the intake bits, before they go into the
booth![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
.

![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Cut to a few hours later
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(next day in fact), everything was painted and dry.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Just need to polish up the head shield and it can go back in.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Job done.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Another small step closer to a nice clean bay
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Just need to pick up some hose to plumb the BPV in.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4277/34230590364_dd64bc9304_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Now, on to the good stuff! Exhaust swap time
![Anxious 8-[](./images/smilies/eusa_shifty.gif)
After the prep I'd done over the last few days I was fairly confident it shouldn't be too difficult to remove the Apexi.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Thankfully it wasn't! A few struggles but on the whole it came out pretty easily
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4249/34230788434_d49fc489c7_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Cleaned and prepped the other hanger area, along with a few other bits while I was at it.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4196/34910542122_8752eaf6dd_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Before we go any further I'd like to introduce you to Patrick.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Patrick is my loyal assistant when it comes to ground lying, something it
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(he?) takes very seriously.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I have absolutely no idea where it came from, but I can only assume a guy called Patrick is down a Yoga mat somewhere?! Anyway, this is Patrick, you'll no doubt hear about it again
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4273/34230739014_0072a5d68c_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Right, back to the exhaust
![Anxious 8-[](./images/smilies/eusa_shifty.gif)
This first big lump is off.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4238/34263729663_f6373a64d7_c.jpg)

![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4274/34230697744_da34c9317f_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Now to the mid pipe.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I have to say, the Berk down pipe is a nicely made bit of kit
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4236/34910431292_b65c49a0df_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Off! Also pretty simple to remove
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4273/34910419272_ea4b561733_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
After a quick test fit of everything it was time to get the new guy on.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Mid pipe first.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4220/34263641553_cc2eacba15_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Now to the main event! Doing it using just axel stands and with no assistance meant I had to get creative with solutions for holding it in place while I nipped it up.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Enter garden furniture
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4271/34263616063_bd8970bfb5_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
A while later, a selection of bad words
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
(one treacherous nut went AWOL at the worst moment
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
) we have this!
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4247/34263532053_6c12cd06c4_c.jpg)

![Image](https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4258/34686899890_7bbec3513f_c.jpg)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'm aware the wide angle shot doesn't really do it justice but sufficed to say I'm really pleased with how it looks.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Suits the car perfectly IMO and the
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
"Revision 6" badge is perfect.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Very much in-line with my whole design philosophy for the whole car.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
That OEM+ phrase that gets banded around, but that is pretty much my theme.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It sounds awesome, especially when the idle drops.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
It's definitely not quiet but I personally think it's the best sounding twin I've heard to date, on an MR2 at least.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Beyond that though, I finally have the white MR2 Turbo T bar with a twin exhaust that I wanted, way back when I was first looking at MR2s! I know it's silly but I'm immensely satisfied now it's on
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
I can't say I'd ever want to do it again but I probably won't ever have to.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
I'll grab some better shots soon and maybe a video using a decent mic.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Other than that I'm done for the day.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Now fire cooked meat and booze time!
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Toodle pip.
