Nice one Frank :) Nice to meet a few of you 'orrible lot ;)

I'm amazed my car lasted through the runs given some of the noises it was making. Quite chuffed with my 230 (302@fly) and 259 lbft :)

>>dyno sheet<<

Jonb you need to sort your sat nav mate. That was the longest journey back possible I'm sure!

Yeah, cool day all round.

Never been on the rolling road before, but with 272.7hp at 6,164rpm! at the fly and 215 at the wheels, cant be bad considering its still got the CT26.

& 247lbft torque. more than happy. :)

seemed like a good show of cars this time
i was considerate and parked the work van right at the end to save it getting in any pictures

shame i couldn't bring mine to run but the gearbox is knackered (but i got a rev2 lsd box this afternoon :D :D )

Mark Edwards exhaust is some kind of beast :D almost deafened me cause i stood behind it on the rollers

So ??? who got the best figure of the day :?:

It sounded very concorde, very cool but not too clever i'd imagine.

Great day as always Franky boy.

A little dissapointed with my figure but it was a very last minute guess of a map that we bodged into it. Made 281rwhp, 352fwhp and a whopping 330lb/ft of torque, of which i had 320 by 4000rpm!!!!

Looking at the graph it was an absolute animal until about 5700 and then it starts leveling off. Think this was due to the fuel trim that had been put it drowning it a bit at the top end.

Better luck next time i suppose.

Image

So in all, from this little experiment, i lost 12fwhp and gained 60lb/ft. Me thinks i need a proper remap and then try again.

Big thanks to Andi again for building such a stonking engine. 8)

Trivia for the day (iirc of course), marks engine had more talks (that's the clarkson in me) than the tvr which was running a brutal v8.

Felt bloody fast that's all i'll say.

Hey all, nice one Frank as ever :thumleft: good to put a few more names to faces from here.

Video : Yep, should have all the runs on tape - not had chance to look at it yet.

I've got a backlog of footage from the Anglesey Trackday last weekend to edit up first, and so clips from the rolling road will probably only be ready at the end of this week or at the weekend.

Basically when you see the Anglesey videos done and posted, the RR videos will follow a few days afterwards.

Keep an eye open for a new topic here with all the videos in...

ah ya wrong i organised the first RR day at engine advantages way back when and we got excited bout 8 people running hehe

raymond pang once got 380 or 400bhp at the fly so that had to be over 300rwhp? miss the noise of his anti lag as he left too! he later got close to 500bhp then his block cracked! dunno if he ever got it sorted :(
