I'm very happy with mine. :) Makes a big difference to the feel of the car as my belt now holds me in place.

You do know that the MR2 only has two seats, don't you? :oldtongue:

Fitted mine last night and tried it on the commute this morning. It certainly holds me in the seat well and I found I wasn't fidgeting about like normal. I'll have to go home via the B-roads to give it a proper test. :)

Ours arrived yesterday - I haven't done any proper driving at the mo so I can't comment on the difference but they are easy to fit and deal with anyway :)

how hard are they to remove from the seatbelt again? im guessing as easy as they are to fit?

im not using my MR2 at the moment, but the Fiesta XR2 im driving has a really lame tensioner on the seatbelt and im constantly pulling the seatbelt tight by hand. and its quite irritating. so im tempted to buy one of these for it. but once im back in the MR2 i might use it in that instead, so i want to know if its hard to remove it again (or if its even possible, im guessing it is) before i buy one

cheers for anyone can help

Very easy to remove, just two small screws that fix the clamp in place.

Well, I got mine on Friday but fitted it on Sunday (to the daily driver unfortunately - will fit it to the Mk1 this weekend probably).
Definitely good! It's helped me sit up properly in the car - which given that I've recently done something to my back and it's aching a little is a great relief. It also definitely stops side to side movement when cornering... And that's just on the daily drive!

I must admit it's a little weird to do up the belt each time without the belt sliding through the buckle, though I imagine that's something I'll get used to.
Definitely worth the money!

I have now been both a driver and a passenger in one and I'd definately recommend them for both, especially if you suffer with back problems. I expecially find in Phils car with the leather seats I would be sliding all over the place and bracing myself with my legs which is very painful for me. I can now sit comfortably in the car while he chucks it about which is good for him too as I'm not screaming in pain every time he drives properly :D

As my seatbelt in my car are pretty bad, I find I feel a lot more secure with the CG lock too.

Wow - they should be paying me for this!

LOL - yup - that would be nice!

I had my first play in the Mk1 with one yesterday, and it's definitely a help with the leather seats!
If I could afford it, I'd buy another for the passenger seat in the Mk1, but my Mk1 budget has been blown now, so it'll have to wait for another time...

What a difference!

Post by j0nathan »

Bought a CG Lock last week and have just tried it out on the daily driver - what a difference! The seats in my Rover are not great with very little lateral support and the CG Lock held the lap belt firm. I have just had a 'spirited' drive down the country lanes and it makes a real difference. I'll be getting a few more cash allowing.

Glad you all found them worthwhile :thumleft:

Its suprising what a difference a simple thing like that can make.

CG locks have now extended the offer till christmas.

They did us a favour by releasing the discount code early and limited people have bought them, so come on and get one, great for christmas presents.

one of the best mods available for less than a tank of fuel :thumleft:

go to www.cg-lock.co.uk enter the discount code IMOCUK
