Do my ears deceive me or is there still a little spinning in 1st? Sounds like he might have another few tenths in it. :) LC sounds lovely. :thumleft:

Yeah there was spinning in 1st even with DR's on :(

but once we perfect the launch control and get a hugh set of rims on the back maybe 275's i think we may shave a little time off.

but i dont think i will be taking her down the strip until TOTB now.

then we will concentrate on the 200 mph run.

Any way thanks for all the nice words you guys had to say about the runs but its not fame im after just self satisfaction of 2 goals i set to acheive to get into the 10 sec bracket and 200 mph in a 2.

well maybe there will be a 3rd goal to acheive but i will see how the 200 MPH run goes first :D

to be honest i think a high 9 second is possible by upgrading the fueling system to run a higher boost using a 2.2 stroker kit and adding alot of NOS
and stripping the whole car out.

but i dont think i will be going down that road but if i do it wont be for a long time

Oh yes defo high 9's but the car will not be a daily drive any more, I think there abit more comming from your car if you improve on the 60ft times and get around 1.4 / 1.5's.

the ST165 final drive gives a calculated 200+MPH with an 8.5k RPM Limit. Its the aerodynamics that will hold the cars of this power back from achieving it.

200MPH is definately doable though. If the Fensport Corolla can do it, an MR2 would definately do it with the right amount of power, plus there is less transmission losst through an MR2!

Spud...your better of trying to get hold of a ST185CS final drive, there alot more stronger then that of a ST165. Mind you the ST185CS final drive are rare as rocking horse poo. It took me a good 8 months to find one and even then i found it by fluke. Had to end up buying the whoel transmission too LOL!

Yeah thats the one  so im looking for a st185 celica gearbox if anyone knows some one selling, so we can strip it down and mod up my gear box.

we will also be putting on some bigger rims. just hope the power of my car will reach 200 mph.

I've got the parts in my box and it makes a real difference to cruising speeds etc.

I'd also recommend getting the parts new from Toyota.

Well, I am selling a whole ST185 if you/Patrick are interested? Great runner also comes with Rev1 Turbo engine! Cheap due to panel damage but great mechanics.

It has to be a ST185CS ... the normal ST185s have the 4.225 final drives the CS has the 3.93 final drives.
