It's a sad day to think that Frank won't be the owner of this beautiful machine any more, but we all know, it couldn't ahve gone to a better home.

Congratulations mate. That's one hell of a car.

Hello everyone and of course Rowland

Finally made it down the gym/swimming pool in my new "barge" to be able to access the Web


First up thanks to everyone wishing me well and some of the nice comments about me personally.. I'm touched

Tis true it was a hard decsion to make after all the time, effort, money and sometimes blood that went into the making of the car... ok it isnt a beast engine wise but it's pretty, pulls very well (accelerating that is ) - mind you would Becci have even given me a second look if i had a mk1 (only joking hun )

Have been known as a "cheque book tuner" to some - but to be honest before i owned this car i didn;t know the difference between a spanner and a wrench - so it's been a good journey all round.

Was sad to see her drive off up my road but it's good to see she's gone to a good home, and someone who obviusly loves MR2's as much as i do.

I'll still be on IMOC of course, I've met too many great people and now have a bunch of friends that I didn;t before (it was originally the reason i joined - billy no mates here ) - so I'll still be at meets, and looking forward to seeing people again soon... wheelchair in hand

Oh and I've now gone to an Audi A4 V6 sport - quite bargelike but it's a stepping stone to an RS4 - one day !!

Well i must say guys did not see this coming.... I think this is the best way a car like this should part...i know its a sad day for franky boy...but im sure he will be back (no pun intented)..just like Ali. .same way Rowlands back now in the driving seat with a top motor.
thats got to be the worst moment when you see the car driving away.
its not about the money......when fellow members do a deal.
more so Repect for the way the car been looked after.

Its Alex, who Patrick bought the white rev 3 NA off which you came to collect at Oxford services.

Only having met you briefly and having met Frank on many occasion i am more than happy to see where the car has ended up. It couldn't have been sold by a more genuine bloke to another top IMOCer!

Congrats Rowland! and comiserations Frank Get well soon buddy! Maybe a sofa conversion in an MR2 in the future lol!

Having never met Frank until yesterday I can happily say he is a gentleman and a true perfectionist. His enthusiasm towards his car and the MR2 scene is pretty amazing.
He knew it would be a heart wrench to say goodbye, and it really was....

I am however very surprised that Frank sold it to you as I have been in contact with him since feb 20 when he accepted my offer on the car as 2nd dibbs.
1st dibbs beeing a guy that he met way back last year who made him an offer if he ever were to sell and Frank felt committed to offer his car to this person first.
Frank promised me that if that deal fell through, my offer was acceptable and he would sell the car to me.
I have been eagerly waiting for Frank to contact me which he hasn't done since last PM I got from him 12 days ago.
You however beeing the new owner now state that you never met him till a few days ago???
I an confused to say the least!!

I feel i must reply publically along with my return PM that you now have.

As stated in my PM's to you, i INITIALLY got mixed up with who had expressed an interest in my car. AFTER i realised this I PM'd you and explained the situation along with an apology and offered you second dibbs should the deal fall through.

If you read my last PM (where i got a bit hacked off at you quoting me dates and "facts" and where i became a bit "whatever" due to more important things in my life right now), you will see that i left it saying that if the deal fell through i would be in contact.

No more, no less...
the deal did not fall through, so there was no need for me to contact you.


With regards to never having met Rowland in person before - what's that got to do with anything ?

(on a side note - i actually thought i had seen Rowland in person before .. when i had the work done up at Rogue's - but must have been someone else )
