Got home and my brakes were fine left it in gear with handbrake OFF this time

Me too, new Carbotech pads and frozen handbrake didn't do much for my fuel economy this morning...

Mine is frozen on at the moment (havent used car for 2 days and it was -6 last night) whats the best way to free it off now. if i just drive until it relises am i going to damage anything. what can people surgest, as other wise i am stuck at work.

Ive had this in the past so just sittin there for 2 mins you will hear a clonk and out pops the frozen h/break.

Not had this prob yet... couldn't get the door open the other morning tho.. thought the handle was gonna come off at one point!

Was so much fun running in and out the house with hot water trying to get the thing to open.. and I'm *always* late for work as it is

BTW if your handbrake does freeze up, its not a million miles away from the exhaust and engine bay so runnning your car will thaw it out too.

Leave your engine on, go inside and have a cuppa or six.
