Last year was my first year. It was great - I really enjoyed it.
Definitely going this year again... perfect timing as it's just after my birthday! :)

Yeah...JAE is THE event for the car clubs. There's always a good atmosphere there, but the old venue (Billing Aquadrome) was better IMO.

Billing was a superb venue but it got too crowded :(

I thought 2006 at EoE was better orgnised than 2005 though, so hopefully the improvements will continue this year :)

I have a conundrum every year as to which car to take - the last two years I was torn between the Starion and the 200. Last year my mind was made up for me because the Starion Club didn't even have a stand. This year I will be trying to make up my mind whether to take the MR2 or the 200 #-o

Crowded? I would've said 'cosy' instead! :D

Interesting comment about the organisation, too, as at EoE it seems too organised and less like the large 'meet' that it is supposed to be: just like one large car park where people with the same car park close to each other.

Let me know what time your getting down there Dave. I'll aim to be there around the same time. Worked well last year where we were camped. Hope it's the same this year.

Sounds good mate. You let me know where you're going to be, and I'll be there.

I was going to suggest we call our part of the site "Camp Oldgit", but I think that may have other connotations. Perhaps just "The Old Gits" would be better...

Affiliates league in the bouncy boxing for entertainment?

Are the TB peeps joining us this year? :thumleft:

I do hope the TB will be joining us this year, they are great fun and a few of us went over to meet up with them on the Friday night!
The best thing would be, if we could all have stands next to eachover, OC included but maybe this is down to politics!
Does the OC want to join up with us? or do they like doing their own thing?
The Drivers Club seem to have given up on JAE but that's their choice!

see my avatar ;)

I'm afraid to say that runny babbits will not be making an appearance this year - they will be tucked up in boarding (plus our new rabbit is a big fraidy cat)

In all seriousness, we may be going for a Japanese theme - maybe even fancy dress on saturday night...
Then again, we might do sommit else ;)

I'll have to get there earlier this year so as to avoid you two taking the p1$$ whilst I was trying to put my tent up. Stupid pent tegs...

Happy to bring down toys again this year if needed, projectors etc... :)
