yup. Gotta call up Tilton tonight and see what they want me to do with it.

I can only see them asking for it to be sent back as there are no Tilton places other than the one in Cali. SO postage on that is gonna be a lot.

Then I would imagine paying for them to look at it, and repair it if required, then also pay to send it back. :-k ](*,)

You should tell them what they can do with it, and where they can shove it

Seriously mate, can you not get your hands on a different clutch, fit it and see if something else is wrong first? What a PITA!!

Well I'm gonna have to try and sort something. I'm gonna be well out of pocket whatever happens.

If it goes back to them then I might see if there is someone local who is stripping their 2 for a rebuild, to see if I can borrow their flywheel, bolts, clutch, release bearing, slave cylinder and gearbox. :-k

Quite a tall order, but you never know...

Didn't realise you needed a different gearbox too

If you waited long enough you could fit my clutch and flywheel and release bearing etc as I've got a replacement... or if you wanted to fit my new one for me you could have the old one!!

lol thanks for the offer of doing the work on your car. Don't think I could take the stress of someone elses though, hence looking for someone with them already out.

Main reason I need another gearbox is becuase to fit the HRB you need to cut down the pilot tube which is where the release bearing sits.

SO I either go through the motions of getting a replacemnt bell housing, or just swap the entire box. Borrowing a box is the cheaper of the 2 options at the mo.

All depends what they say though.

They might say tuff shizel, nothing we can do. They might say we'll send you a replacement FOC.

If you have done everything to the book, and everything they can suggest (which I know you have) then they have to send you a new one. Insist!!

If it turns out it was your mistake with fitting then fair enough that you have to pay for shipping the new/old one back to them, or just sell it here, or lie to them

Good luck :thumleft:

No need to lie. I'm confident in what I've done. They're out of ideas too, so will be interesting to see what they suggest.

Might tell them that I'm in a race season and need the clutch asap to see if they can send me one before I send this one back.

Will have to play it by ear I guess. [-o<

Will be in Ninas no doubt as she's not working that sunday.

Unless by some absolute miracle.... my own car is running. Then I'd be in that.
