The fuel pump that was removed certainly looks new, the guys that removed said that it looked like it was a freshly but badly installed pump. They also stated that they very strongly believed it was a cheap probably Chinese 255 LPH item from eBay. The thing rattles when you give it a shake and started to fail soon after I collected the car. It's absolutely identical to the cheap £20 numbers on eBay and it certainly doesn't look or feel like any sort of quality item.

It also doesn't look anything like the fuel pump TRE list for that revision of turbo engine.

Now, as I've said previously I and the garage could be wrong, maybe it is an uprated 255LPH TRE fuel pump. It's just everything is pointing to it very strongly not being.

I posted a link to the TRE fuel pump listed for my car earlier in this thread, they certainly don't look similar at all.

I'm being as fair and objective now as I can be.

Again, the invoice/report from the garage I am confident will bear this out.

Busy week this week with a VAT quarter to get filed and family obligations, so not been able to reply as quickly as I would have wanted, but I will certainly address all the points raised by Chris, including the ones that are nothing short of drivel.

Before I get into that I need to make Chris very clear of the situation as it stands down here, and to save him any opportunity to claim he was not informed, mis-understood etc, I'm going to post here.

Firstly, let's cut to the chase – no one here or that isn't here and has heard the facts believes for one minute that you "mis-understood" the invoices.

We had discussed them on multiple occasions. You were emailed progress statements on regular occasions. You were emailed the final invoices before you came down to collect the car.

You inspected them in enough detail to notice I had accidentally charged you twice for a £20 ARB bush kit.

When you arrived you test drove the car for half an hour. No complaints. You checked the car over. No complaints.

Why not man up, grow some b*lls and behave like the big man you like everyone to believe you are.

You had no intention of paying your bill in full. None whatsoever. You obviously thought you'd get away with what you can, and then you'd scam on anything you can find or fabricate to try and get the balance outstanding cancelled.

When I told you the car was going nowhere without payment, your performance started. You acted out calling your mum for help, but she was in Ireland and doesn't lend money when she's in Ireland. FFS…

You tried the sympathy claim. It didn't work. You tried the threatening "you don't know who you're dealing with" approach. That didn't work.

Then, to convince me how honest you were, you offered me your Rolex watch as security. The deal was I'd look after it for 2 weeks until you paid me. "Don't go wearing it, it's 5-6 grandswoth of watch" were your exact words.

How do I know that's what you said? Simple, because in the same way you didn't notice me take your car keys off your key ring, you didn't notice me holding my phone recording much of the conversation.

So, having taken advice, I'm getting your "5 grand Rolex" authenticated this weekend, as it can't be sold without authentication. I will be entitled to claim reasonable expenses from you to obtain authentication.

Now, if it is a fake, you might as well admit it upfront, because with at least 2 hours of my time, plus the jeweller's authentication/valuation fees you're looking at anything up to £600 whatever the outcome.

Now, here's where it potentially gets serious. If it is genuine, then fine. Either you pay up or I'll sell the watch in a manner as advised.

If it is not genuine, I will be making a complaint at Barnsley Police Station under Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006. I'll leave you to Google, save me typing. Whilst looking it up, notice that circumstances following the deception are totally irrelevant as they happened after the event.

So the first question will be is that your voice on the recordings?

Maybe you thought otherwise, but me in England and you in Scotland is no barrier from proceedings against you in both the criminal and civil courts.

Wow! You see, if I didn't know you Peter I could have read all that and I'd believe it all, but I do know you and you're the biggest bull sh1tter out there. I say fitted some poly bushes, you pretended to and charged me for them but a few years down the line a different garage suggested I polybushed my car, I told them it was already polybushed and they proved otherwise! But it was a few years in and I had better things to be dealing with than the likes of you

I genuinely feel sorry for buster in the sense that without knowing him I can believe everything he has stated will be factual, but the way he has put it across won't have helped his cause leading to a leach like yourself to take advantage of his poor wording and over enthusiasm, with belittling and legal threats.

The reason your customers don't take legal action on yourself is because they don't give you chance to put your poor sloppy workmanship right, and is there any wonder? Why would they risk more poor workmanship, why would they risk a never ending extended deadline? Customers want their cars in a working capacity and sometimes it's easier + safer to just forget your parts and labour warranty by paying extra to get a professional to do the job and not take more risks with you!

I haven't read one word of Peters response for the reasons I and yourself have listed previously, there is absolutley no point in wasting anymore time and money with regards this trader and his "specialist" work.

I'm sure he is still accusing me of traveling 255 miles never having intended to pay, but I can only say again that I swear this was not the case at all.

If I wanted to have done this I doubt I would have transferred £800 within the first few weeks to Peter Giddens bank account without even being asked.


Tbh, it's going to cost me more to put right than it would for Sbits to, regarding Peters time and cost of replacements parts. Replacement parts, ahem. And just to show I'm being as fair as I can be, Peter can sell the parts
from my car he has, that should fetch him around £300.

So as I've said previously, this matter between Sbits/Peter Giddens I is over.

But I will continue to post more pics and evidence as and when I can.

I'll have to pay the balance to get my watch back. I don't have any other choice and like I've said I have to move on from this the same as others have.

As for the Conversation recording, With Busters permission (as he was recorded), Pete could legally publish it for us to hear and that would clear things up. That's the only thing stopping that as it can be looked into as a breach of privacy if not used just for private use without the recorded persons permission. If either side has nothing to hide then (and as you put it in the public forum area) that will clear things up a fair bit.


At least then we'd hear some truths, but if anyone has ever tried to record a phone call from their pocket will know...you pick up nothing normally and before that point youve normally kicked off shazaam rather than recording app.

I'm not sure why there is no active moderation going on, but have PM'ed SB for some impartial action.

Took watch to Beaverbrooks and Goldsmiths on Saturday. Both could authenticate, but as Rolex dealers if they suspect a fake they send to Rolex for further examination who retain and destroy if found to be fake. Since if it is a fake, the police want to retain for evidence, I brought it home.

Taking to an independent specialist tomorrow.

Peter, the rules are out of date and need amending, like most of this forum. They were written when the forum had 100 people a day visiting it and an active mod team. If the thread is cleaned up in the way you desire, none of it will make sense which makes a nonsense of the feedback. If a moderator gets a chance however, they may clean up some if it. On a personal note, I have very little motivation to clean up your mess.. I'd rather spend the time with my son or sleeping after working an 11 hour day.

Conversely, 'I am still waiting' for you to answer the other half dozen threads about your work. So is is the rest of the community. I would suggest you take the opportunity while you are still listed as an affiliate as I understand this is up for renewal soon.

As I have previously said I really want to move on from this now.

It's a complete mess, especially in part from myself by posting up things with emotion rather than a cool calm head. Again I sincerely apologise for that I really do.

Now, regarding the recording of our conversation without my permission or knowledge and taking of my car keys I couldn't possibly of noticed as I was using the toilet in Peters workshop at the time. I had no idea I was being recorded and I certainly do not consent to any third party having access to the alleged recording either. And I really don't think Peter would honestly want this alleged recording being aired either given the comments made by himself about a previous customer. Respectfully intended.

Yes I have the invoice backing up my claims of what was and wasn't done and the pics concerning these issues I've posted up. But the garage involved now does not want to be dragged into this and I, as I'm sure Peter is as well, just wants to bring this matter to a close.

This talk of getting the authorities involved and what not, fraud etc etc puzzles me as I have proof that I was charged for items that were not what I was charged for or not replaced at all and some potentially very serious issues no car should have been on the road with. Not forgetting being charged VAT on said items that cost more than twice what was or wasn't fittted.

Anyway, I want my watch back and I will pay the balance in full as and when I can as soon as I can. I really do feel that is fair and that Peter and myself can both move on from this and out an end to the matter.

No hard feelings from my side now regardless.
