Custom made is always the best way to go, but expensive if you want the 3inch bore from the Elbow/downpipe.

JP exhaust in Macclesfield built my 'old' exhaust and fitted it from the turbo for £450.00 . Excellent exhaust IMO :D

Would definately agree with you about JP's, they are top guys and ended up doing all my hard pipes for my SC:

Would recommend them for a custom exhaust. They make manifolds to spec too.

OK I seem to have started something here! Didn't know that this was so important. However you have all missed one crucial point, which one makes you go faster! Thats all thats important. Thanks for all the help though definetely like the departure sounds good to, and twin exit is a must! sorry nur spec fans. :)

As far as I know, nobody has done back to back testing of a Nur spec and Departure 2 pro on a RR to see which one gives the best results.I've tried the Nurspec and Departure 2 pro and HKS Hiper muffler and to be honest I couldn't notice any difference in performance between the three, but I prefer the Departures looks being a twin exit and it sounds glorious without being too harsh, and if Pheonix power use this exhaust on there 700bhp demo car, then it's good enough for me

Nur Spec exhaust and de-cat only on my own car left me with an extra 23bhp, not bad i'm sure you'll agree :D

I had heard that the Departure 2 was better suited to the much higher power cars due to the fact that it was too free flowing for cars of standed or near standed spec!

Not sure I believe that myself, but thought i'd let ya know what I had heard

Why on earth are people moaning about the Nur spec and the Departure 2 pro. The fact is if you was to drive both pipes on the same car you'd not notice any thing anyway.
The fact is some people like the Nur spec and some, like my self do not.

And when you talk about power, Don't make me laugh, the fact is there that ultra light wheel nuts (like mine) are proven to yeld 17lbs of torque at high revs compaired to your average ones. I can tell you there is no way the Nur-spec has that power advantage over the Departure 2 pro or visa versa.

And as for the Departure 2 pro being over priced crap, Phoenix Power are expensive for one reason, they make the best and thats a fact, and by the way Steve b its Phoenix Power, not power enterprises. Go away and come back when you have some decent parts on your car, and if your motivation is setting off car alarms? well that just says it all really mate.

Well what do you say after that :) .

I'd just like to throw one comment in. The departure uses mild steel pipes and stainless boxes. I sprayed my pipes with vht paint before i put mine on, but it is worth considering as i believe the nur spec is stainless through out. For some reason alot of jap makes make their pipes out of mild steel, probably cos they don't get the crappy weather we do over here :x .

what are they made out of Stainless.. NO! do they rust YES! are they over priced YES.

And when did i say my motivation was setting off alarms, I simply siad that mine did that on thursday when i parked it. My motivation for the APEXI Hayabusa is its one of the lightest pipes on the market.
You sound like the prat here with personnel attacks.

Apexi and BLitz Nur spec are 100% stainless so all in all that makes me think they are better value pipes.

rusty at the welds isn't it looks like cheapo mild steel that power enterprises charges the earth for to me

To be honest the quote above says it all for me mate, you left your self open and with comments like that there is always going to be someone taking offence and IMHO your open to a dig.
I wouldn’t have said anything like that personally.

But if it offended then I half apologise, just understand a lot of people save very hard to buy things that ARE rated as the best and people like YOURSELF in this case feel its ok to shoot them down which is bang out of order. It also winds me up when people don't even know the name of the product they're slagging off. i.e. power enterprises when its a Phoenix power pipe.

The bit about the wheel nuts is very simple and something that not everyone knows.

Anyway sorry for the slap Steve but some time some diplomacy goes a long way.
Also it was 6am when I sent it

Appologie accepted, I wasn't sure if it was Phoenix power or power enterprises, i have seen people describe that pipe as SPL / Phoenix power and power enterprises before. I was only taking the mick because someone put a pic up and it was indeed rusty across all the welds. Not something you have an issue with if you go for stainless pipes. The amount of salt thrown on the UK roads I wouldn't consider a mild steel exhaust.

Depends what you think of them though doesn't it?
Also more expensive as there's 2 pipes YES
