Sorted it chaps,

I changed the push fit connector that I'd used to replicate the oem bleed valve that you normally have on the stock radiator, see above as I've fitted a eBay special radiator that came with no bleed valve. Anyway did what I'd done before to bleed it and now problem solved. I guess the original push fit plastic elbow connector was leaking slightly/sucking in air, as now have a steel version with an O-ring at the end of the stud and seems to have sealed the rad bleed area properly.

If that makes sense!!

Either way boost city again and new tyres in the morning so can finally enjoy the thing again, weather depending!

Thanks for your input

This is the solution to the problem for me anyway. Is a 1/4bsp push fit elbow but the stud section had an O-ring at the end to make an air tight seal. Below is the one that was causing the leak-

Oh and the first pic shows the 8mm plug pressed into the push fit connector to make a seal. When I was bleeding it I just pressed some 8mm OD pipe in there. Had to wrap one revolution of electrical tape around the end of the pipe to get it to seal 100% but works a treat.
