I did see a rev5 hardtop GTS on piston heads a couple of weeks ago.

I think it had been restored in places, but was done to look factory all around.

They wanted 5000 pounds for it - it was gone in a few days.

Why dont you try looking in ireland a few rev3s up for sale on donedeal you would save on exchange rate
They dont command a high price here anymore a good turbo one for just over 3000 euro

Thats true, but its a bit of a faff with the expense to get there and back and the possibility of being disappointed when you get there.
Any particular websites covering Irish cars?

ta for the sites.
That one you linked to, I've seen that advertised somewhere recently. I remember the rear lights and centre panel. Maybe ebay.
I'll start having a look over the Irish Sea next (on web that is)

Well, after two and a half months of searching (and viewing a few that turned out to be dogs), I've given up on a MR2 Turbo for now.
Bought its close relative a week ago though.
A '97 ST205 GT4 in white, with all the stuff I would have wanted already done (front mount, Gizzmo EBC, perfect OZ Cronos, recent suspension overhaul, recent clutch, Nur-Spec etc etc)
Very happy with it, and the 4WD should be handy for winter.
I'll have a MR2 Turbo one day, just not this year....

I ended up doing the same thing, got a really nice example of a jdm st205 for +£2000 with over £5000 in toyota main dealer till receipts.
Plus i can full boost it in 1st, 2nd and 3rd + in the p*ssing down rain, couldnt do that in the mr2 if the road was slightly damp lol.
Will be back in an mr2 soon but liking the drivability of the celica at the mo, winter bring it on :thumleft:
