Thank god it it's not just me :(

Just back from being towed back, went to BP and put £20 of Ultimate, got 200 yards and car cuts out..............you guessed it, ultimate diesel ](*,)

Went back to the garage to check and just the same as described in previous posts.

Pump hose is green
Round handle is green
Round bit on the handle was white.

Yes I'm an idiot for doing it but according to the tow truck driver he takes at least 6 cars out of there a week after doing the same

Oh well, at least I know what I'm doing tomorrow #-o

What a green diesel pump handle/pipe, Ba$ta*ds   !!!

I had something similar but the other way around, was driving a diesel astra, pulled up at a independent garage somewhere in essex, at the black pipe/handled pump and put in 4 star LRP!!!

Everyone knows that unleaded is green, diesel is black, LRP is red, super is blue or summat etc.

petrol in a diesel isn't that bad at all in certain ones anyway. I had a 1.9 diesel peugeot 205 in the owners manual it advised putting 1 gallon of petrol in every 4th tank of diesel over winter months.
