Hmmm, I thought it was limited to 120 mph.

I went out to see how fast it is before I fit the manual boost controller.

Hit 110 in 4th and shifted to 5th.... It carried on going. Needle went off the clock for a long way... Maybe 140 or more.

All on a track of course.

Very odd. Not sure what's going on.

check where the speedo cable enters the gearbox, if there is another little box between the cable and the gearbox, its a mph speedometer converter, if that's fitted it tricks the car into thinking its not going so fast as the speed limiter is activated by the speedo position.

effectively making the 30kph-30mph, 70kph-70mph, 120kph-120mph, you should get the drift by now.

I see you have the duel speedo gauge too, if the outside ring of numbers is kph and your car does have the converter on the gear box, the outside numbers should then be read as mph instead.

I'm fairly certain the outside numbers are still kph, otherwise I broke the 200 mph mark.

I used to own a very similar rev1 GTS turbo with similar mods and I've noticed some differences.

Firstly this one has no lightened flywheel, which is a major disadvantage. I used to just blip the throttle in neutral and it would hit the rev line, now it barely does with the foot to the floor. It is a great mod.

Also, the old one had 17" alloys, 8J i think and the handling is so much better now with stock 15" wheels with higher tyre walls.

I'll add more as I think of it.
