So today I had a play after work. I brought a 90 degree bend to replace the one on the turbo as I moved my dump valve and no longer need the recirc. Also brought a breather filter to stop oil getting my intercooler all oily until the catch can. This turned out to be a bad move, as every time I rev it its steaming. So I had to quickly bodge the pipe.

Bloody car, why is it when you need to go somewere the car plays up. I'm trying to get it sorted for japfest but the cars decided that its going to spring a water leak and blow the manifold gasket. Had a look on the ramp today luckily the leak is the rubber pipe going into the car by the turbo so not the end of the world.

On the up side my catch can turned up and is fitted. Need some better piping though. Were can I buy some flexi pipe that I see people use on them?

Looks great, love black cars. I probably would have got another one but it just gets too dirty in my dusty carpark!

How hard was it to fit the steering wheel? Looking to do it myself soon.

Steering wheel took 5 mins.

Well today had a rumage around after work, and this is what happens when you ask your mate to drive the car on the ramp while your busy.

Image

So had a gander at the water leak coming from one of the pipes going behind the heat shield on the bulk head. Took pipes of cleaned and replaced clips

Decided is take the time to do a little service new oil, gearbox oil and antifreeze.

Had. Look at the breaks, have a binding rear calliper, did a rolling brake test to confirm. It appears the calliper is sticking, the cables free bbut when I removed the pin it appears there isn't enough length on the cable to reach the ARM on the calliper, so I adjusted the cable, and ill see if it makes a difference.

Also upped the boost, and reset the ecu but now hitting fuel cut.

So today decided to rip the manifold of and change the gasket. Turns out previous over has snapped two bolts of and tried to drill pi$$ed into the head. So now the car is in bits. Gave the manifold a lick of paint and will be drilling out snapped bolts tommorow. Hopefully no more tap tap tap

Well a little update

Been on a 600mile round trip in the mr2. Few problems firstly it appears the clutch has started slipping its been dragging for ages but when I boot it in 3rd it revs right out. Secondly I have an oil leak from the turbo looks like return pipe.

On the upside I found a Fcd on the car whilst in. The service station lol.
