Seems like marmite, some love it , some hate it :D

Oh and Alex, if you looked inside it at the moment, you'd see a great big hole :-P
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Looks like a half-baked attempt to make a MK1 into a MK2, can't see the point to be honest.

Like most people on here, it's the boxiness of the MK1 that appeals to me.

Having been modifying Mk1s for longer than i can remember there are ways to tastefully do it to make the car look more aggressively styled but that really is not how to do it. Nothing wrong with filler to blend arches in etc either but there's about 4 gallons of the stuff in there, that'll be crack-tastic in no time at all.

I admire the effort that's gone in to that, but sadly misguided.

Candy apple red?

Not at all my cup of tea, but I've seen much much worse. At least it looks well done and the paint looks pretty good.

My major hang up is the lack of engine swap. I can't understand putting all that time money and effort in to make it look sooooo fast but then leave it with 100bhp.

Poor spelling too, surprised you didnt pick that up Paul.

So on the 17s it won't handle very well and no rust - none that you can see, as I imagine the rears aren't there anymore!

I only needed to look at the pictures to be honest, that was enough for me.

I'd imagine that from his user name and the cars style (do I mean style? #-o ) English isn't his first language "innit"
